In a candid revelation, Sharon Osbourne discussed her experience with Ozempic, highlighting a significant side effect she encountered: nausea. She mentioned that she felt nauseous for several weeks after starting the medication. This side effect is not uncommon and can vary in intensity among different individuals. Sharon Osbourne has spoken openly about the negative effects she suffered after taking the diabetic medicine Ozempic<\/a> to help her lose weight. Osbourne recently went on Bill Maher’s podcast, “Club Random,” to discuss how she dropped weight despite getting the controversial injections. “You have a weight problem and you’ve tried everything, and then somebody says take this injection and you’re going to be skinny,” Osbourne recalled. Ozempic, which is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, is an injection administered to the stomach, thigh, or arm to assist reduce blood sugar levels by stimulating the pancreas to generate more insulin. Recently, the injection has also been suggested as a weight reduction treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While speaking<\/a> with Osbourne, Maher stated that he would personally be against putting any form of “foreign substance” into his body, which turned him off to the medication. He especially described trying to reduce weight as a game of “always playing the odds,” which Osbourne agreed with. The 70-year-old then shared her experience with Ozempic, explaining that she was always sick for the first several weeks after taking the prescription, but that her symptoms eventually improved.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor me, the first few weeks was f*****g s**t because you just throw up all the time. You feel so nauseous,\u201d Osbourne said. \u201cAfter a couple of weeks it goes.\u201d She stated that the nausea had subsided and that she “felt nothing” after this period. Osbourne also said that she used the drug for four months and was able to shed 30 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though she is no longer taking Ozempic, Osbourne said she is still feeling the effects of it, including it being difficult for her to feel hungry because Ozempic suppresses a person\u2019s appetite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was very sick for a couple of months,\u201d she said on the talk show. \u201cThe first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Osbourne also explained how effective the drug was for her despite the sickness it caused. \u201cI\u2019ve just shoved two chips in my mouth, while we had the break, and I eat normally now, and I haven\u2019t put on a pound. Nothing.\u201d The heavy metal singer\u2019s wife is just one of many celebrities that have admitted to taking Ozempic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
